Many of us have seen improvisation games that may last around five minutes, at the most, but have you ever seen a twenty minute long improvised play? Sounds impossible?
At the end of May, Gempro will present a weekend of ‘long form’ and ’short form’ improvisation - your story titles will inspire the stories that get formed before your eyes.
Known as the ‘Friendly Festival’, this annual weekend attracts theatre companies from across Victoria to compete against each other with plays of 20 - 45 minutes in length.
The weekend showcases over 20 plays of many genres and styles, a highlight of the weekend being the many youth entries for which there are separate awards.
